About Us

Hudson Henry and Libby Bailey are both photographers based in Portland, Oregon. Each of them loves traveling and sharing tales of adventure, as well as stories of the people and places they encounter.

Neither Hudson nor Libby’s backgrounds are typical of visual artists. Hudson, after serving in the Gulf War, studied Geography at the University of Oregon and Law at U.C. Berkeley. Libby majored in Environmental Studies and has built a very successful real estate practice in Portland.

Not artists to be pinned down, Hudson and Libby’s award winning photography covers the globe as well as the creative spectrum. Individually and as a team they enjoy photographing people, landscapes, fine art, lifestyle and products for both documentary and commercial application. Hudson and Libby are renowned for both their attention to detail and their joyful approach to life, whether at work or at play.

Hudson and Libby’s love of travel, culture, adventure, and wild places has taken them to many exciting locations over the past decade. Just to highlight a few: together they have climbed Kilimanjaro, trekked through the Peruvian Andes to remote Incan ruins, climbed volcanoes in central Mexico, trekked through jungle covered Rwandan mountains, and crisscrossed the United States exploring its natural treasures. In addition Hudson has climbed first ascents in the Alaska Range and trekked unsupported from the coastal plain of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (A.N.W.R.) to the southern reaches of the Brooks Range.

In the coming months, this website will grow to include more galleries and images, multimedia productions and expanded blog entries about photography, international travel, adventure and conservation issues both cultural and environmental.
